a little spotlight on Hudson Red

The estimable Murray’s Cheese in NYC spotlighted Twin Maple Farm’s Hudson Red cheese today.  Doug, the original Hudson farmers’ market cheese guy, is no longer their cheese maker, but the cheese is still good.  The image above shows it slathered on a local baguette a short while back.   It did not last long.  Yum.

Don’t buy it on Amazon – you should be able to find it this weekend at the Hudson Farmers’ Market.

Did you tour Twin Maple Farm?

Sadly, I missed the tour this year but will have to go next year.  I am always willing to taste more Hudson Red cheese…

New cheese from Old Chatham?

I wonder if the new-ish Kinderhook Creek cheese from Old Chatham Sheepherding is available at their self service “store” or only in NYC???

Update 5/4: it’s even made the NY Times.

Today is National Cheese Lover’s Day!

I just learned that January 20th is National Cheese Lover’s Day.  I do not feel the need to fact-check that – I think I will just reach for the macaroni and cheese…
